How to start homeschooling in Wyoming
The program must follow a sequentially progressive curriculum in reading, writing, math, civics, history, literature and science. Since July 1, 2025, families no longer have to submit a curriculum to the local school board, and state law sets no testing, hours or teacher qualification rules. A parent pulling a child under 18 out of school must either tell the district the child is enrolling in a home-based program or meet with a district counselor or administrator to sign a withdrawal consent.
